The main task of the day was to clean up the remaining sealant so that the keel bands are ready for the next stage. After 24 hours the sealant was hard enough to make the job a little easier than yesterday but even so it was not a quick job.
After nearly two hours of cutting, chiselling and sanding, all carefully, this is the result.
Nearly all of the excess squeeze out has been removed. There are a couple of bits that I can’t really get to so these were left for now and I’ll think about how to get a sharp edge into those tight spots.
The other task that has been waiting for a while is the assembly of the pulleys.
Not a difficult job, I just hadn’t gotten around to it.
